107. My First Holy Land Tour is When I…

Other than feeling like living at the time when the Bible was being written and ‘feeling’ physically & geographically closer to God, here are another moments from my first Holy Land tour:

  1. TRIED NEW FOOD

I’m a girl with that enthusiasm towards anyyythiing that is new to me, so this trip was definitely exciting because you know, different land, different food .

THEY ARE SO HUGE. This is what we got after relentlessly nagging to our  tour guide because it took sooo long to get to the restaurant… He got off the bus & all of a sudden we had this in our hands! Man, we were busy chewing and admiring this bread.. an effective one to keep us shut 🙂

2. HAD DOUBLE BENEFITS FROM THE TRIP

Got paid for endorsing my friend’s products hehehe. I got this initiative H-14 prior to the trip, so I made a poster and spread it. And I got paid haha.

3. TICKED ANOTHER WORLD HERITAGE SITE

4. WORKED TEMPORARILY AS A POST-WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER OF MY VERY OWN PARENTS

5. BEMUSED BY THE FACT THAT EGYPT IS CURRENTLY A NOT-SO-RICH COUNTRY

I didn’t even remember taking photo of Cairo because I was so focused observing them from the tour car. The city was not very clean and the cars I saw were badly damaged ones which I seem to not find in Jakarta (Cairo is the capital of Egypt. If even the capital is like that, how are the other regions?). And my tour guide in Mount Sinai confirmed this. He said, “Well, Egypt lives from tourism.”

I was quite surprised to be honest, picturing Egypt at the time of Joseph and Moses. When the whole world was starving, they came to Egypt for food. Well, conclude and take the lessons yourself. But for me personally, the riches and glories of this world is not permanent, fleeting. Here today and gone tomorrow. So seek for the real treasure and keep it.

6. WITNESSED MY DAD’S CRAZY SIDE

which never appears at the office, home, or dinner table. Gee I’m giggling because of this photo right now, I remember how my father can be sooo excited about swimming-in-the-dead-sea thing. He asked me to take several pictures of him posing like a newly-born-mud-superhero in Marvel Movies.. xixixi. My dad even printed this photo and put it on his office desk, being very proud with it.

7. CONTEMPLATE A LOT

After all, the Land of Promise was nothing to be wasted. Being at the end of year 2015, in places Jesus had visited thousand years ago made me wanna have conversation with God. So ya.. I did buzz Him a lot.

8. BE IN TOUCH WITH MAGICAL PLACES

So yeah, this post is a very very latepost. I know, I’m sorry. I just saw this on my ‘draft box’ and thought I should post it.
